Club news ? Broncos, Cowboys

Brisbane has been rocked by powerhouse prop Shane Webcke and hooker Casey McGuire withdrawing from Sunday's NRL clash against New Zealand Warriors due to injury. Webcke has succumbed to a back complaint while McGuire has been ruled out with a pectoral injury but are expected to be fit for next weekend.

Brad Thorn moves from the bench to replace Webcke in the front row and reserve Ian Lacey slots in at hooker for McGuire.

Further, North Queensland Josh Hannay says the next month could be the most important of his NRL career. Hannay says he wants to prove he can still match it with the best in the business after being recalled for this weekend's clash against Wests Tigers in Sydney.

Hannay has spent the majority of the season in the Queensland Wizard Cup after losing confidence following off-season shoulder surgery. The former Queensland State of Origin centre is off contract at the end of the season but could yet re-sign with the Cowboys before the June 30 anti-tampering deadline.
