Cowboys lose Hall for Warriors clash

A ONE-WEEK suspension for second-rower Glenn Hall has given Scott Bolton his chance in the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys' starting forward pack for the round 15 NRL match against the NZ Warriors at Dairy Farmers Stadium on Saturday night.

Hall has today lodged an early guilty plea to his grade one careless high tackle charge from last Saturday night's loss to Manly at Brookvale Oval after the Cowboys elected not to take the case to the NRL judiciary.

He incurred 84 points for the incident involving Glenn Stewart and had 16 carryover points on his record from earlier in the season.

Coach Neil Henry has promoted Bolton from the bench to the second-row and has also included co-captains Matthew Scott and Johnathan Thurston who will play in the second State of Origin game for Queensland at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday night.

Gavin Cooper will return to the centres with Antonio Winterstein sidelined with a pectoral injury. The results of the scans on Winterstein's injury will not be known until Wednesday morning.

Will Tupou has been included on a five-man interchange list which also includes Joel Riethmuller who made his NRL debut against the Sea Eagles.
