Cowboys reaching out for flood appeal

COWBOYS REACHING OUT FOR FLOOD APPEAL

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys express their concern and sympathy for those affected by the floods in central and south-east Queensland and will donate $20,000 to the Premier's Flood Relief Appeal in assistance.

The club will contribute $10,000 and the Cowboys Community Fund, supported by Coca-Cola Amatil, will match this figure.

Donation points will also be set up at the Cowboys' trial game in Cairns in February, with the support of Cairns District Rugby League, while donations can be made at Brothers Leagues Club in Townsville on the night of the Wests Tigers trial.

The Cowboys are also in discussion with the Northern Territory Rugby League regarding a contribution through the Alice Springs trial.

Visitors to the Cowboys Leagues Club can support the appeal by giving a $2, $5 or $10 contribution, with diners able to add their desired dollar amount to their bistro bill.

Cowboys captain Johnathan Thurston has a personal tie to Toowoomba and was shocked at the devastation to the area over the last few days.
