Creagh inclusion sees five Dragons
in Aussie squad

As reported, rising St George Illawarra star Ben Creagh has been called into the Australian Tri-Nations squad. The 20-year-old got the call up today after Nathan Hindmarsh failed a fitness test, ruling the Parramatta backrower out for up to four weeks.

A versatile forward and hard defender, Creagh is the fifth Saints player to join the squad with Trent Barrett, Matt Cooper, Mark Gasnier and Jason Ryles being named earlier in the week. The St George Illawarra Dragons have the largest representation in the 23-man squad and it could have easily been six Dragons if not for Luke Bailey's withdrawal following an ear infection.

At 193cm tall, Creagh was a promising schoolboy basketballer and member of the Wollongong Hawks youth squad before debuting for the Dragons as a teenager in 2003, initially as a winger.

Selected in the Junior Kangaroos squad in 2004, Creagh has also played Country Origin earlier this year.

Creagh will join the squad for a training session at 9.30am tomorrow.

The Tri Nations opener between Australia and New Zealand will be held at Telstra Stadium in Sydney on October 15.
