Crusaders v Dons preview and Challenge Cup news

Celtic Crusaders v Doncaster RLFC (Sat) Northern Rail Cup Final Group Game Venue: Brewery Field, Bridgend Kick-off: 1930 GMT, Saturday 15 March

Celtic Crusaders and Doncaster RLFC will bring an exciting Northern Rail Cup Group 3 to a conclusion this Saturday when they meet at the Brewery Field in Bridgend (kick-off 7.30pm).

The match immediately follows the Wales v France rugby union Six Nations decider that will be shown live on the big screens at the Brewery Field.

Crusaders have already qualified for the last 16 of the Cup as group winners but the race for second place is well and truly on following two wins for bottom side London Skolars in their last two group matches.

The Skolars face the Eagles at White Hart Lane Community Stadium at 3pm on Saturday and a win for either side will put them temporarily in second place and in the qualifying position.

Doncaster will then probably need to beat the Crusaders in order to finish second but a draw or defeat by less than 12 points may be enough for them dependent on points difference.

The Crusaders will be looking to build on an outstanding second half performance last Sunday against Lokomotiv Moscow where they scored eight tries without reply after the interval to record a 58-10 win. This will put them in good spirits for both this match and their important first National League One game of the season against Dewsbury Rams on Good Friday in Bridgend (kick-off 5.10pm).

An unchanged team looks likely for the home side as Crusaders
