Cullen laughs off link to Chooks

Reports the Sydney Roosters have targeted Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett have been met with laughter and surprise from the Broncos.

Broncos managing director Bruno Cullen says there's no substance to a backpage newspaper story Bennett is being sized up by the Roosters to takeover from Ricky Stuart next season. Cullen says Bennett would have no interest in the job as he's approaching his 20th year with Brisbane.

The newspaper report claimed the Roosters have a three-year $2.4 million deal waiting for the highly successful coach.
