Cummins signs new Rhinos deal

Leeds winger Francis Cummins has signed a new one-year deal with the Rhinos. The 28-year-old, whose contract ran out last month, is out of action until May after undergoing knee surgery.

Cummins has accepted a role in the club's community and commercial department to keep involved while he recovers from the operation.

"It was a worrying time for me but the club have been great both on the medical side and now with the new contract," he said.

"I saw the specialist this week and he has said that I am about three weeks ahead of schedule so things are progressing well and I want to play my part in the team next year."
