Daley reckons Gould will stick
around as Blues coach

New South Wales Origin assistant coach Laurie Daley predicts Phil Gould will stay on as Blues rugby league coach. And veteran lock Luke Ricketson believes the Blues will lose their edge over Queensland if Gould isn't at the helm for the 2004 series.

Gould is set to quit despite guiding the Blues to a record fifth series victory this year. But Daley reckons he'll stick around, saying Gould's done a tremendous job and is the most successful coach in New South Wales history.

Ricketson says Gould has the respect of all the players and the Blues will lose their edge if he decides to stand down.
