Danny Green to Fight Charge

REDCLIFFE'S Danny Green will contest a dangerous throw charge which threatens to keep him out of this Saturday's QLD Wizard Cup preliminary final blockbuster against Easts.

A premiership winner with the Dolphins in 2003, Green will front the QRL judiciary at 1.30pm on Thursday with the aim of being exonerated from the charge.

The 24-year-old concrete cutter will receive 162 points if found guilty, meaning an automatic one-game suspension. He has 30 per cent loading for a previous offence.

Green has only recently fought his way back into a regular Dolphins jersey after continuing injury woes.

In announcing his team for Saturday's preliminary at Dolphin Oval, Redcliffe coach Anthony Griffin maintained the same squad that was thrashed 56-22 by Toowoomba on the weekend.

Gerard Parle has been named 18th man.

With three tense wins in a row, Easts has stuck by the same team which ousted reigning premier North Queensland 28-18 last week.

Teenagers David Tyrrell and Shane Neumann have again been picked in the three-quarter line. Tyrrell was last night named the Peter Gallagher Carbine Club Colt of the Year, recognising the Wizard Cup's most promising rookie.
