Demons to help out Tsunami
victims

Cardiff Demons will donate all gate receipt profits from their Powergen Rugby League Challenge Cup match against Walney Central at Taff's Well RFC on Sunday 16 January (kick-off 1.30pm) to the Tsunami Earthquake Appeal.

The match is the first game for the Demons on their road to the Millennium Stadium, which is where the final will be played on 27 August.

Chairman Ian Golden comments, "We'd like to do all that we can to support those who are desperately in need. A banner has already been put onto our website at www.cardiffdemons.com to show people where to donate but we feel we'd like to do just that little bit more at the match and allow our fans to fundraise together."

The Demons are also looking to run a raffle on the day and are appealing for prizes of any kind. Please contact the club at cardiffrugbyleague@tiscali.co.uk if you are able to donate an item.

In addition to the gate receipts and raffle, fans will be invited to have their photos taken with the Welsh and National Conference Shield trophies that the club won last season. Both will be on display in the lower bar at Taff's Well from 12.30-1.30pm. Photos will cost only ?3 each with all money being donated to the Appeal.

A minute's silence for the victims of the disaster will be observed before kick-off.
