Great Britain hooker Matt Diskin has agreed a new four-year contract with Leeds Rhinos which will keep him at Headingley until at least the end of the 2010 engage Super League season.
Diskin, 24, whose current contract was due to run out at the end of this campaign, has made more than 100 appearances for the Rhinos since joining them from Dewsbury Moor amateur club in 2001.
?I have played all my rugby here at Leeds and hopefully I would like to remain here for the rest of my career,? he said.
?It is good to have got it out of the way early in the year because I was out of contract at the end of the season and now I can concentrate on my rugby without any distraction.?
Coach Tony Smith said: ?Matt has been a terrific young player for the club and he is just coming into the prime of his career.?
Diskin, who spent eight months out of the game after damaging knee ligaments on his Great Britain debut in 2004, was the subject of an enquiry from rivals Bradford last year.
Meanwhile, Leeds will be without Great Britain skipper Jamie Peacock for the home game against Salford.
