The Bulldogs will use Friday night's clash with arch-rivals Parramatta as a measure of their progress and second rower Jamie Feeney says the pressure will be on the forwards to establish an early dominance.
"Matches against Parramatta are always tough and I think it'll be played out in the forwards. If we can get on top of them there everything always seems to sort itself out for our backs," Feeney said.
"It has been a while since we've played a top six team so this game should give us a good indication of how we're going. We were pretty happy with the way we played against the Raiders although there are still areas that we can improve in and that's what we're looking for against the Eels."
Adam Perry, Nathan Sologinkin and Glenn Hall will all return to first division with the return of Steve Price, Travis Norton and Darren Smith from Origin duty. The Queensland players will join the Bulldogs training session at 10.30am on Thursday.
