The Jetstar Gold Coast Titans have secured another emerging talent from the club's catchment area after tonight signing Yamba-born Cronulla Sharks prop Luke Douglas on a three-year contract.
Douglas, who hails from Yamba in the NSW Northern Rivers, has agreed to join the club from next season until the end of 2014.
The 24-year-old prop has played 128 NRL matches in total since making his debut for the Sharks in 2006 and in an important sign of his talent, was the first NRL player to play 100 consecutive games from debut.
Jetstar Titans Managing Director Michael Searle said the 192cm, 110kg prop was viewed by the club as a young front rower on the rise who is capable of playing representative football in the future.
Douglas was picked as 18th man for NSW in the final match of last year's State of Origin series and has also been selected for Country Origin.
