Dragons boosted by Ryles return

Dragons forward Jason Ryles has been cleared to play in tonight?s National Round League clash against the Parramatta Eels at Parramatta Stadium.

Ryles will captain the side and adds some experience to a team made up of young players brought into the side because of injury problems and Origin selections.

The Dragons did have the option of including dumped NSW centre Mark Gasnier in the side but opted to follow the actions of the ARL and suspend him indefinitely.

Ryles was not expected to play against the Eels after suffering a knee injury during the Dragons? match with the Bulldogs last weekend. But he passed a late fitness test and will take his place in the starting side.

It?s not all good news for the Dragons though ? with Nathan Long?s knee injury forcing him out of tonight?s game. He?s expected to be back in Dragons colours next weekend.

Tonight?s match kicks off at 7:30pm.
