Dragons sign Andrew Frew

St George Illawarra Dragons have signed winger Andrew Frew for the 2004 NRL season.

Frew 28, has previously appeared in 47 NRL games and scored 24 tries between 1997 and 2000, playing for Parramatta (1997-98), Manly (1999) and the Northern Eagles (2000). He then linked up with the English Super League for three seasons, playing with Huddersfield, Wakefield and Halifax.

"I think I left prematurely," Frew said. "I believe I still have something to offer. And after three years away, I wanted to come home and play in the best competition in the world."

Andrew Frew is the latest of the 17 new signings for the Dragons for the 2004 Telstra Premiership season and is one of the club's six new outside backs, along with Edwin Asotasi, Nick Youngquest, John Olzard, Luke Roberts and Beau Scott.
