Parramatta coach Brian Smith has named a 20 man Eels squad for their clash with Newcastle on Sunday. NSW centre Jamie Lyon has been picked in the centres although any recurrance of his hamstring injury in Origin 2 would likely rule him out. Ashley Graham is his most likely replacement having been named on a 6 man bench.
The full team is: 1 - Brett HODGSON 2 - Jason MOODIE 3 - Jamie LYON 4 - David VAEALIKI 5 - Matt PETERSEN 6 - John MORRIS 7 - Michael WITT 8 - Adam PEEK 9 - Lee HOPKINS 10 - Michael VELLA 11 - Nathan HINDMARSH 12 - Darren TREACY 13 - Daniel WAGON (c)
INT: 14 - James WEBSTER 15 - Dean WIDDERS 16 - Willie LEYSHON 17 - Daniel HECKENBERG 19 - Shayne DUNLEY 20 - Ashley GRAHAM
The Eels are still without the services of regular captain Nathan Cayless, half Paul Green, prop Alex Chan and utility back Luke Burt through injury, but boast a strong lineup nonetheless.
Adam Dykes may be a late inclusion after pulling out of premier league last weekend, his presence at the scrumbase would give the Eels their strongest option in attack. The sooner he is match-fit the sooner the Eels can settle on a combination to get them back into Finals contention.
The Eels travel to EnergyAustralia Stadium on Sunday for a 2:30pm kickoff, with the game LIVE on Fox Sports.
