Eels romp to win over Tigers

The Parramatta Eels have claimed a comfortable 44-6 victory over an unfortunate Wests Tigers outfit at ANZ Stadium this afternoon.

The Eels started quickly with a 10th minute try to Luke Burt. The lead was doubled four minutes later with Josh Cordoba showing how badly the Tigers were being battered by brushing through soft defence to score.

The Tigers threw away several scoring opportunities and the Eels capitalised, with Tautai and Keating scoring late in the half for a 22-0 lead.

The Tigers started better in the second half, and opened the scoring with Chris Lawrence scoring after a nice set play.

The Eels put the match to bed with half an hour to go, Krisnan Inu scoring just as the Eels looked as though they may be vulnerable in the second half.

A further three tries, including a double to Nathan Hindmarsh and a well deserved try to Joel Reddy sealed the final 44-6 scoreline.

The Tigers lost prop Danny Galea to a broken Achilles tendon early in the first half, meaning his season is over.
