Emotion won't get Brisbane home,
warns Miles

Former Broncos captain Gene Miles says Brisbane will need more than the emotion of 48,000 rugby league fans to beat Newcastle at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.

Brisbane will have the backing of a sellout crowd for its first game back at the famous Milton ground since 1992. Miles advised Brisbane's players to enjoy the special day but avoid getting caught up in all the hype.

Miles, who along with co-selectors Des Morris and coach Wayne Bennett will settle on Queensland's 17-man Origin squad on Monday, said champion Newcastle halfback Andrew Johns was yet to play to his full potential this season.
