Catalans Dragons moved to within 80-minutes of the Grand Final with a stunning win over the Huddersfield Giants at the Galpharm Stadium.

The first quarter of this game was a war of attrition as both teams went at each other. The Giants suffered a blow in the first minute when they lost Jamahl Lolesi who was knocked out.

On 19 minutes Adam Mogg spread the ball out for Clint Greenshields to score the first points of the game for Catalans. Huddersfield built some pressure and a moment of magic from Luke Robinson gave the hosts the lead 6-4 which they took into the break despite Greenshields having a try chalked off for an obstruction by Julien Touxagas in the back play.

At the start of the second period the Giants tried to break the visitors defence down but fell short and lacked some ideas. Then early into the final Quarter Dimitri Pelo scored a brilliant individual try to regain the lead for the French-side.

The game was all over on 71 minutes as Olivier Elima finished off a nice passing move to clinch the victory. Catalans, who finished eight, became the first team in Rugby League to be picked for
