Leeds Rhinos 2 Tries: Goals: Sinfield

Att: 14,554

Wigan Warriors claimed their third win of the season over Leeds Rhinos to deny them top spot.

The only scores of the first half were two Pat Richards penalty goals as the slippery conditions made tries very hard to come.

It was nearly an hour before Liam Colbon bagged the first try, for the Warriors, after he was quickest to react to a Brent Webb fumble. Bryan Fletcher clinched the game when he kept his feet despite two tackles to score under the posts.

Gareth Ellis's late sin-binning rounded off a miserable night for the Rhinos.

St Helens 4 Tries: Talau Goals:

Att: 11,214

Bradford Bulls handed out a second defeat in a row to a 12-man St Helens at a very damp Grattan Stadium Odsal.

Played in torrential rain on a quagmire of a pitch, the Bulls shut out the Saints in the first half with Marcus St Hilaire the only try scorer. Paul Deacon added two goals as the hosts took an 8-0 lead.

Willie Talau scored for Saints, to put them back in the game. However, the 60th minute dismissal of John Wilkin, for a high tackle, ended any hope for the visitors.

Bradford withstood a late St Helens flurry to gain back the two points they lost the previous day for Salary cap infringements.
