Leeds Rhinos continued their winning start to the new season with a tough win over Hull F.C. at a very wet Headingley Carnegie Stadium

The game was a played on quagmire of a pitch and the only score in the first half came from the hosts' winger Lee Smith after a flowing passing movement.

Early into the second half Leeds extended their lead when, skipper Kevin Sinfield finished off a superb move, to score his first try for a year.

Hull F.C. got on the scoreboard with a bizarre try when a grubber kick from young stand-off Thomas Lee stopped in a puddle for winger Matt Sing to touchdown after overrunning the ball.

However, with 12 minutes left on the clock Ryan Bailey powered is way over the line to give the Rhinos a deserved win in front of a packed crowd.

Salford City Reds 18 Tries: Coley, Robinson, Wilshere, Korkidas Goals: Hodgson

Harlequins and Salford City Reds played out a draw at Twickenham Stoop.

With both sides guilty of early errors the hosts built up a 14-0 lead with tries from Tyrone Smith, Chris Melling and Paul Sykes.

Salford got back in to the game and cut the lead to 14-10 with two quick fire tries just before the break from John Wilshere and Luke Robinson.

The visitors were left seething just seconds after the restart as Julien Rinaldi was awarded a controversial fourth Harlequins try by the video referee to open up an eight point lead.

With the game looking to be safe for the Quins an Andy Coley Try gave the visitors some hope and in the dying minutes, new singing Michael Korkidas scored the try to level up the match. However, David Hodgson missed the goal and with both teams kickers having an off day the game ended in stalemate.

Catalans Dragons 16 Tries: Murphy, Chan Goals: Gorrell 4

Wigan Warriors 18 Tries: O'Loughlin, Bailey, Ashton Goals: Richards 3

A very late try snatched victory for Wigan over Catalans Dragons in Perpignan.

This game was in doubt until the last minute with torrential rain falling all day.

The Dragons adapted better to the conditions and opened up a 10-6 lead at half time, Alex Chan scored the try and Aaron Gorrell adding three goals. Chris Aston replied for the visitors after a good pass from Tent Barrett.

Both sides had tries ruled out shortly after the restart before the hosts edged further ahead when Justin Murphy pounced on Casey McGuire's measured kick to make it 14-6.

Phil Bailey's debut try closed the gap to two points before the visitors were reduced to 12 men when Gareth Hock was sin-binned for dissent. Gorrell added a penalty and leading 16-12 with minutes left the home side looked safe. However, a dramatic try from captain Sean O'Loughlin and a last minute conversion by Pat Richards snatched the points for Wigan as they picked up their first win of the new season.

Huddersfield Giants 10 Tries: Nero, Wild Goals: Thorman

Hull K.R. 17 Tries: Murrell, Cockayne Goals: Morton 4 Drop Goal: Webster

New boys Hull KR kept up their 100% record with victory over Huddersfield Giants at Galpharm Stadium.

The visitors got off to the perfect start and raced into a 16-0 lead. Scott Murrell scored first and Ben Cockayne added another. Gareth Morton converted both tries and kicked two penalty goals. Stephen Wild went over for the Giants just before the break to cut the gap to 16-4.

The Giants came out fired up in the second half and Chris Nero' try converted by Chris Thorman set up a grandstand finish. But, led by new signing Michael Vella the Robins held on and a drop goal four minutes from time by James Webster clinched the win.

Wakefield Wildcats 29 Tries: Rooney, Atkins, Ferres, Blaymire, Catic Goals: Rooney 4 Drop Goal: Rooney

St Helens 22 Tries: Pryce, Bennett, Graham, Gardner Goals: Long 3

Champions St Helens suffered a second successive defeat as Wakefield Wildcats produced a stunning second half performance at Belle Vue.

The Saints looked to have taken complete control of the game as they opened up an 18 -6 lead at the break, scoring three tries from Leon Pryce, Mike Bennett and James Graham. Shaun Long added three conversions. The home side try came from new singing Brett Ferres.

However, the second half was a complete contrast as the Wildcats tore into the visitors. Ned Catic and Ryan Atkins first capitalised on some poor defence.

Matt Blaymire and Jamie Rooney added other scores. Rooney kicked three goals and added a drop Goal. Saints finally breached the Wildcats line with a last minute try by Ade Gardner.

After this below par, performance St Helens must improve their game for next Friday night's crucial World Club Challenge encounter against Brisbane Broncos at Reebok Stadium

Warrington Wolves 20 Tries: Westwood 2, Leikvoll Goals: Briers 4

Bradford Bulls 36 Tries: Platt 3, Morrison, Vainikolo, Evans Goals: Deacon 6

Bradford Bulls moved to the top of Super league with a second successive win of the season to see off Warrington Wolves at Halliwell Jones Stadium.

The home side took a slender 14-12 lead at half-time. Ben Westwood scored a brace and Lee Briers kicked three goals. Glen Morrison and Michael Platt scored Bradford's tries.

In the second half, the Bulls turned the game around by scoring three tries in eight minutes from Lesley Vainikolo, James Evans and a second for Platt.

Chris Leikvoll cut the lead for the hosts. However, Platt had the last laugh as he completed his first hat-trick for the Bulls to seal the game.
