Engage Super League XVI Round 15 Review

Warrington Wolves showed their Engage Super League Title credentials as they ran in seven tries to romp home over Leeds Rhinos at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

Coming into this game in supreme form, the Wolves had not conceded a point in their last three games.

Lee Briers began and finished the move that gave Warrington a ninth-minute lead, Brett Hodgson converting. Joel Monaghan then raced in at the right corner and Hodgson again adding the extras, it looked like it was going to be a long night for the Rhinos.

However, they gained some possession and got back into the game. Zak Hardaker and Brett Delaney both had tries chalked off before Leeds finally scored six minutes from the break as Danny Buderus went over from dummy half, the first try that the Wolves had let in since 01st May. Kevin Sinfield added the extras as the hosts trailed 12-6.
