Fletcher flies the coup

Rabbitohs captain Bryan Fletcher has inked a two-year deal with English Super League club the Wigan Warriors, starting next season.

He informed the club of his decision this morning after a meeting with Maurice Lindsay last night. Whilst the Bunnies were keen to keep Fletch, there was little hope of standing in the way of Wigan.

It could be a blessing in disguise for Souths, who are also struggling to hold onto talented back-rower Ashley Harrison. They are also in desperately need quality players and once the June 30 deadline passes, they will be in the hunt and the cash that will be freed up by Fletcher may play a big part in negotiations.
