Four new faces in Kiwi squad

Kiwis selectors have picked entire 19 man squad from the NRL for this Friday's Anzac test in Brisbane

Parramatta Eels fullback Krisnan Inu is one of four new players named in the Kiwis 19-man squad for Friday's Anzac League test in Brisbane.

Inu has only played one first grade game but has been included as the squad's only specialist fullback with Brent Webb unavailable as his partner has just given birth.

Former Kiwis halfback Gary Freeman says there is not a clear cut choice for the fullback jersey and he is backing Wests Tigers centre Paul Whatuira to fill the position for Friday's test.

Broncos lock forward Greg Eastwood and Warriors props Sam Rapira and Evarn Tuimavave are the other new names in the squad.

Bulldogs play-maker Ben Roberts is the only halfback in the squad and will undoubtedly partner Benji Marshall in the halves.

Freeman believes Roberts is the right man for the job as he can step up to the job very well following the extra responsibility he has been given by the Bulldogs this year.

No players from the UK Superleague have been selected, while Warriors utility Lance Hohaia has missed out after picking up a head injury in his side's win over North Queensland.

The new captain to replace Ruben Wiki and the final 17 will be announced tomorrow afternoon.

The full squad is:

Roy Asotasi, Nathan Cayless, Greg Eastwood, David Fa'alogo, David Faiumu, Dene Halatau, Krisnan Inu, Simon Mannering, Benji Marshall, Frank Pritchard, Tony Puletua, Sam Rapira, Ben Roberts, Iosia Soliola, Evarn Tuimavave, Manu Vatuvei, Jake Webster, Paul Whatuira and Sonny Bill Williams.
