Four will become two

The Bartercard Cup competition in New Zealand is now down to the four top teams fighting it out for the two Grand Final positions.

On Saturday afternoon at Ericsson Stadium Counties Manukau Jets will play North Harbour Tigers at 2.30pm.

Last weekend the Jets travelled to Christchurch where they were defeated by the Canterbury Bulls for the second week in a row, and will hope to regain their winning formula to see them through for another week, to play the loser of the other game this weekend.

The Tigers knocked out the Raiders in the minor semi-final last weekend and will look for the same success on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday the Bulls travel up to Ericsson to face Mt Albert Lions who come off a bye. The winner of this game is straight through to the Grand Final whereas the loser will have one more life.

Both games this weekend are tough to pick a winner but with fine weather all weekend one thing guaranteed for the spectators is fast, tough, action-packed footy.
