Bulldogs' playmaker Braith Anasta has vowed to take on the Brisbane defensive line in tomorrow night's National Rugby League match of the round at Telstra Stadium.
Anasta views the game against the competition leaders as akin to a State of Origin trial and will endeavour to rid the NSW selectors of any doubts about thrusting him in at five-eighth in the series opener against Queensland at Suncorp Stadium on June 11.
Blues selectors have expressed concern that Anasta - one of the most exciting talents in rugby league - hadn't been running the football enough in recent weeks. Anasta agrees, and has promised to test the Broncos defence tomorrow night after regaining his confidence following a month on the sidelines with a broken sternum.
