Frilingos dies of heart attack

The Rugby League world has been saddened by the untimely death of leading League journalist Peter Frilingos. ?Chippy? as he was known to all and sundry in the League community worked as the leading rugby league writer for News Limited and also worked on the top rating Continuous Call Team on radio station 2GB and previously 2UE.

Peter Frilingos is reported to have suffered a massive heart attack this afternoon whilst at work.

We at Leagueunlimited would like to send our most heartfelt condolences to the Frilingos family at this time.

The career of Peter Frilingos has spanned many years with Chippy covering the game in depth like few before him and his work saw him cover multiple Kangaroo tours, every Origin series and the NRL Telstra Premiership.

Peter was well respected within the general sporting community and his contribution to the game, while controversial at times, will sorely be missed.
