Further injury blues for Bulldogs

Bulldogs halfback Brent Sherwin and interchange prop Chris Armit have both been ruled out of Sunday's NRL clash against the Vodafone Warriors at Telstra Stadium. The two players had been rated 50-50 propsects for the match but the club today announced they had both been forced out with injury. Sherwin came out of last week's win over Wests Tigers with a foot injury while the Bulldogs say Armit damaged his shoulder in the same match. Halfback/five eighth Ben Roberts, who two weeks ago made his New Zealand test debut against Great Britain, has been named as Sherwin's replacement in the halves. Roberts (20) made his NRL debut in the Bulldogs' win against the Vodafone Warriors at Ericsson Stadium on April 30. He has made three first-grade appearances so far. Centre Andrew Emelio has been named as Armit's replacement. Winger Hazem El Masri has also been troubled by an ankle injury but a decision on whether he'll play won't be made until tomorrow. The Bulldogs had already lost winger Matt Utai and interchange prop Jarrad Hickey through suspension.
