Gee makes history

Forward Andrew Gee will claim a special place in Broncos' history when Brisbane hosts Newcastle in the welcome back to Lang Park National Rugby League extravaganza on Sunday.

Gee was there in 1988 along with Wally Lewis and Alfie Langer when the Broncos thrashed Manly in a stunning Broncos debut. He was also there in 1992 when the Broncos farewelled Lang Park with an emotional 37-12 win over the Knights in front of a crowd of 28,828 when Kevin Walters scored his only first grade hat-trick.

And he'll be there again on Sunday completing a rugby league trilogy when the ladder-leading Broncos return to their former home which has undergone a $280 million transformation.
