Gibbs to play tonight

Wests Tigers prop Bryce Gibbs has passed a fitness test on his lower back and will play in tonight's NRL match against the Bulldogs at Telstra Stadium.

Gibbs wasn't named by coach Tim Sheens earlier this week but has made a quicker than expected recovery. The 22-year-old will start the match in the front row alongside Todd Payten with Bronson Harrison reverting back to the bench.

Danny Galea has been relegated to Premier League. Gibbs' inclusion means he will be able to continue his on-going battle with Bulldogs prop Mark O'Meley - the rival front rowers having endured a torrid battle in the corresponding match last year.
