Gidley in danger of missing tour

Newcastle centre Matthew Gidley is expected to find out today if he joins a growing list of players to miss the Kangaroo tour after scans revealed he had a torn shoulder tendon.

Gidley had tests on his right shoulder yesterday morning before visiting a specialist in Sydney this afternoon. The 26-year-old NSW centre will discuss the problem with the Knights and club doctor Neil Halpin today before a decision is made on whether he is available for the end-of-season tour of France and Great Britain.
