Girdler and Campbell to spearhead
Penrith attack

The Penrith Panthers have opted to move Preston Campbell to halfback and Ryan Girdler to five-eighth in the absence of the injured Craig Gower.

The combination worked last week ? but only just.

Gower suffered a knee injury during Wednesday night?s thrilling State of Origin opener at Telstra Stadium and will be out for at least the next four weeks.

Panthers coach John Lang has moved Paul Whatuira into the centres to combat the loss of Girdler while Danny Galea moves from Premier league to the first grade bench.

With the exception of Gower, all of Penrith?s Origin players are expected to back up for tomorrow?s clash with the Bulldogs at Penrith Stadium.
