Gould says Queensland at the End of
an Era

Queensland is at the end of an era while New South Wales is just getting started, Blues Origin coach Phil Gould has said.

That's the message following New South Wales' 27-4 demolition job on Queensland last night to take out the rugby league State of Origin series 2-0. The media savvy coach says captain Andrew Johns is a once-in-an-era player and prop Luke Bailey will play for Australia this year.

The Blues' victory levelled the ledger at 33 games each and ten series apiece - and it was Gould's fifth series win, making him Origin's most successful coach. NSW forward Ben Kennedy finished with a neck injury and on report for a grade one reckless high tackle on Queensland prop Steve Price.
