Gould to make decision in 48
hours

Phil Gould has met with the editor of the Daily Telegraph to discuss his problems with some of the newspaper's reporters that have caused him to consider his future as NSW State of Origin coach.

Gould said yesterday he was likely to stand down because he feels the Origin coach must be prepared to deal with all sections of the media, and he wasn't. He'll meet with NSW Rugby League chairman Colin Love within the next two days before making a decision on his future with the Blues.

An NRL statement today said Gould had met with Daily Telegraph editor Campbell Reid.
