Grothe expected to miss Eels game

Parramatta winger Eric Grothe is expected to be a late withdrawal from the Eels team to play the Wests Tigers at Parramatta Stadium tonight.

Grothe has not played this NRL season because of an ankle injury, with Joel Reddy likely to come in to the starting side if the representative back is ruled out. Meanwhile, Eels interchange forward Ian Hindmarsh will go into tonight's NRL match free of any contract wrangles after receiving an unconditional release from his contract with Super League Club Catalans Dragons.

The release follows a tribunal hearing this morning which saw the Rugby Football League rule Hindmarsh did not owe his former club any compensation in signing with Parramatta.

Kick-off tonight is 8pm (AEST).
