Harold Poynton: Trinity Legend

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats would like to thank Harold Poynton for being a guest of honour in the Trinity Suite on Sunday afternoon.

The restaurant was full with fans and sponsors that were keen to meet Harold and hear some of his amusing, memorable tales. Harold enjoyed a three course meal with his family and friends at the ground and was then interviewed by Chief Executive James Elston. At half time the trinity legend made his way to the pitch to be interviewed in front of all the spectators.

Mr Poynton brought with him some timeless memorabilia that was displayed in The Trinity Suite for fans to browse at their leisure. The Lance Todd Trophy took pride of place along side a number of framed photos of Harold on tour, his Wembley number 6 jersey and framed medals. It was fantastic to have such special items at the ground and the supporters were honoured to be able to look through them.

It's great to have legends such as Harold Poynton giving up their time to make our game days even more special and we really do appreciate Harold's efforts and hope that the supporters enjoyed meeting and talking to the Trinity Great. Another Wakefield Trinity legend will be joining the Wildcats on Friday 11th March for our home clash against The Warrington Wolves, keep your eye out on our website for further details!
