Help to put East Coast Eagles on top

Ireland's Number 1 Southern Hemisphere Bar, The Down Under Bar & Major Tom's located underneath St. Stephens Green Shopping Centre in Dublin, has helped to secure the future success of the East Coast Eagles by becoming a major sponsor of one of the most recognised Rugby League club's from Ireland.

The partnership will see the The Down Under Bar's logo worn proudly on the front of the East Coast Eagles stunning new maroon and white jersey.

"The Down Under Bar & Major Tom's is delighted to be associated with The East Coast Eagles and we hope the relationship will continue for many years," said Tim Gleeson, Co owner of the Down Under Bar and Major Tom's. "We have seen the great work being done at the East Coast Eagles and we're confident there are good times ahead for the club, its supporters and The Down Under Bar is proud to be part of the team."

The Down Under Bar has been associated with Rugby League in Ireland for a number of years and has an established presence within the Rugby League Ireland (RLI) Competition.

"For some time now, we have been looking to round out our RLI association with an appropriate sponsorship in South Dublin and I'm very pleased to say we have found that with The East Coast Eagles." Tim said.

East Coast Eagles President Jer Kemp is delighted with the new partnership. "Thanks to The Down Under Bar and Major Tom's, 2004 is looking even better for the East Coast Eagles," he said. "We have been away from the top of the table for too long, things have been pretty shaky, but that's about to change. We've put all the pieces together.
