Hill cleared of
serious injury

Melbourne Storm has received some welcome relief on the injury front after five-eighth Scott Hill was cleared of any serious damage to the shoulder he re-injured in last week?s loss to the Cowboys.

Any fears that Hill would require a season-ending shoulder reconstruction were allayed today following arthroscopic surgery that revealed no more than bruising to the 25-year-old?s left rotator cuff.

?Scott?s rotator cuff was swollen and bruised and some tissue was removed but there were no underlying tears of any structures in the shoulder,? Storm doctor Greg Hickey said.

?We expect him to make a full recovery fairly quickly. The procedure he?s had today has turned out to be relatively minor so we are looking at four to six weeks for him to return.?

Hill first injured his shoulder in the Storm?s round one win over the Sharks and after missing three matches aggravated the injury midway through the first half of last week?s match in Townsville.
