Hill Will Know Season?s Fate
Tomorrow

Injury-ravaged Melbourne Storm playmaker Scott Hill will know his short term fate tomorrow (Tuesday) when he undergoes MRI scans on the shoulder he re-injured during Sunday?s 38-point dubbing of Parramatta.

After injuring his left shoulder in the dying minutes of yesterday?s first half the Test lock failed to return to the field following the main break and now faces another shoulder arthroscopy which would effectively end his season.

Sunday?s setback is the fourth time this year Hill has broken down with a shoulder complaint after first injuring his left shoulder in the round one win over the Sharks in Cronulla.

That initial ailment sidelined the 26-year-old for a month before he returned for two matches only to break down again in round seven against the Cowboys.

After another month on the injured list Hill returned to play four matches before injuring his right shoulder in the round 15 loss to the Bulldogs at Olympic Park.

Last week?s return match was just Hill?s eighth of the season and along with injuries to fullback Robbie Ross (back) and prop Rodney Howe (knee) the Storm have had their depth significantly tested this year.

Melbourne has managed to climb into sixth position on the NRL ladder with just three rounds remaining despite Hill, Ross and Howe having played a combined total of just 15 games between them this year.

Storm utility Andrew McFadden is hoping to make a return to feeder club Brisbane Norths this week after battling to overcome an ongoing groin injury for much year.of the season.

McFadden has managed just half a game this year ? against the Cowboys in round seven ? after undergoing a groin operation for osteitis pubis late last year.
