Huddersfield Giants sign Stephen
Jones

The Giants have signed 22-year-old Newcastle Falcons centre Stephen Jones on a full-time contract until the end of the season. Jones, who will join the Giants immediately, has played representative Rugby Union for England at U18 and U19 level and is currently part of the Scotland U21 squad. He is 5? 11? and 89kg and has been allocated squad number 26 in the Giants full time squad.

Giants Head Coach Jon Sharp commented "Stephen has trained with the full-time squad for two weeks and impressed us with his skills and attitude. This contract is a great opportunity for him to continue his Rugby League development and challenge for a starting spot in the first team."

Stephen Jones commented "I am delighted to have been offered this opportunity by the Giants. I believe my style of play is suited to Rugby League and I am really looking forward to the challenge."

The signing has been made possible by the club Squadbuilder Fund, who continue to work on raising funds to lift the club's salary cap.
