St George Illawarra halfback Mathew Head has declared himself ready to go in Saturday night's qualifying final against Brisbane, though coach Nathan Brown will delay making a decision on whether he plays or not until game day.
Head will travel up with the team tomorrow morning as 19th man despite initially being named in Premier League earlier this week. The diminutive playmaker has spent the past two weeks in Premier League trying to regain some strength and confidence in his injured knee but speculation is mounting that Brown will rush him back into the line-up for the vital Suncorp Stadium clash.
Brown says he will continue to monitor Head's fitness at training both today and tomorrow before making a final decision. If Head does come into the side it will likely come at the expense of hooker Aaron Gorrell, with halfback Ben Hornby to move into dummy half.
The Dragons could bow out of the finals race with a loss to the Broncos and an upset win for either Canberra or Parramatta.
