Injury and suspension concerns

Parramatta's injury woes may worsen with prop Michael Vella expected to know the full extent of a hand complaint this week. With Eels and Test back rower Nathan Hindmarsh already sidelined with a knee injury, Vella will undergo x-rays on his hand in the next couple of days.

It?s better news for Andrew Johns though, who expects to have no problem gaining a Newcastle club medical clearance on the leg injury he sustained yesterday before flying out tomorrow to link with English club Warrington. Johns says the injury is just a cork and he doesn't anticipate any problems when he sees Knights medical surgeon Neil Halpin today to get a clearance.

The Eels will also sweat on the results of the NRL match review committee today after reserve Fui Fui Moi Moi was placed on report for a high tackle on Brisbane's Berrick Barnes that left the young half concussed.

He?s not the only one in trouble, with North Queensland prop Carl Webb will be sweating on the findings of the NRL match review committee today. Webb could be in trouble for punching Melbourne's Ryan Hoffman during the Cowboys' 30-24 win at Townsville on Saturday night.
