Israel Folau set for possible NRL return

Former Brisbane Broncos and Melbourne Storm player Israel Folau has parted ways with the GWS Giants two years early at a press conference on Thursday.

He has quit for a possible return to the National Rugby League where it's expected he will link up with Ricky Stuart's Parramatta Eels for 2013.

Israel Folau left the Brisbane Broncos in 2010 to join the newly formed AFL club. In his 13 games career he never quite found his feet in AFL, only kicking two goals. The step down to AFL from the top level of the NRL was an adjustment just too great for Folau to take.

It's tipped that Folau will join the Eels in 2013, however the club has denied his signing but they have expressed their interest.

Israel has said that he is yet to speak with any NRL club, "At this stage I have had no discussion with any club. I will leave it up to my management
