Jackson signs new 2 year deal

Huddersfield Giants Prop Paul Jackson has signed a new two-year deal to tie him to the Galpharm Stadium until the end of 2007. The prop was recruited from Castleford at the end of last season and coach Jon Sharp is delighted to keep the 26 year old. "Jacko has been a great addition to our group" commented Sharp. "We challenged him on arriving to earn a new contract through his performances and he has certainly done that. His form of late has been excellent and he is benefiting from the work that he is putting in on the training field and has emerged as a real stand out player for us to date."

Paul Jackson commented "The move to Huddersfield has just been sensational for me and I can't speak highly enough of the club. I was delighted to be offered the new deal and had no hesitation in committing my future here. I believe that we are on the verge of a very special time under Sharpies coaching and I wanted to be part of it. We still have much to achieve this year and the clubs ambitions are high for the future. My personal aims are to continue to improve under Jon's coaching and the great support staff he has and I reckon I've already improved 25% as a player in my short time here and I know there is more to come."
