Judiciary news

Canberra forward Michael Weyman faces up to three weeks on the sidelines for the high shot that knocked out Parramatta's Josh Cordoba in the Raiders' 38-10 win in Canberra on Saturday.

Weyman, who was also involved in a stoush with Eels replacement Mark Riddell, has been harged with a grade three careless tackle for the 30th minute hit. An early guilty plea will mean Weyman misses two weeks but he will be outed for three if he unsuccessfully defends the charge at the NRL judiciary.

Penrith five-eighth Peter Wallace will escape a ban despite being charged with a grade one careless tackle in Penrith's loss to South Sydney on Friday. Melbourne prop Ben Cross escaped charge despite being placed on report for a high tackle in yesterday's 4-2 win over the New Zealand Warriors.
