Kennedy in danger of missing first
final

Newcastle's Test forward Ben Kennedy is in danger of missing the opening week of the National Rugby League finals series because of a foot injury.

Kennedy and winger Timana Tahu will miss this Sunday's clash with North Queensland at EnergyAustralia Stadium. Tahu hurt his knee at training last night to add to a sore shoulder. Knights coach Michael Hagan says he's reasonably confident Kennedy will be okay for the finals but he'll have to wait until club doctor Neil Halpin reviews it on Saturday. Hagan says either Matthew Jobson or Andrew Price will be elevated into the starting side for Kennedy while Craig Hall replaces Tahu.

Meanwhile, Knights football manager Mark Sargent says he hopes to negotiate a deal with club stalwarts Robbie O'Davis and Adam MacDougall by the end of next week.
