Manly will be without skipper Ben Kennedy for tomorrow night's NRL clash with Melbourne after the Test lock failed a fitness test on his injured calf.
Kennedy, who was not originally named in the side to take on the Storm at Brookvale Oval, had been hoping to make an earlier than expected return to action after missing last weekend's loss to Brisbane. The news is much better on fullback Brett Stewart, who has been cleared to make his return from a knee injury.
The match will be the first for Manly halfback Matt Orford against his former club.
