Kick Off just around the corner for
Wynnum Seagulls

The season Kicks off on Saturday 12th February at 7pm when the Mighty Wynnum Seagulls take on the Manly Sea Eagles in a trial much which should provide a great night of football as the new look Wynnum Seagulls take to the field for 2005.

A new playing strip which will be launched on the night as well as a host of new players has set the scene for a great start to the season.

The trial will also see the return to Wynnum of two of our favourite sons in Craig Greenhill and Paul Green who have returned home to finish off their careers where it all began.

Both players have played at the highest level and their experience will be invaluable to the younger players in the squad.

It will also be coach, Neil Wharton?s first opportunity to get the team playing the type of footy he wants after a torrid off season getting the players prepared. Neil?s very excited about the squad he has to work with and the players have responded in their preparation.

We are very pleased to announce that off the field we are looking as strong as we are on it.

Refund Home Loans has joined the Seagulls as a major sponsor and will be our short sponsor for 2005. Refund Home Loans are an exciting new company in the home loan market and we are keen to help them develop relationships with all our supporters and members.

Blades Footwear has also come on board as the Official Footwear Supplier and major sponsor to the Seagulls in which I believe is a first for any of the Qld Cup clubs.

The introduction of both of these quality organisations as sponsors indicates the profile we have as a club as well as the Qld Cup as a competition and that is great for the game.

We are close to finalising several other sponsorship opportunities which should be known before the start of the premiership rounds.

2005 officially kicks off with our Season Launch on Wednesday the 9th February at the Wynnum Manly Leagues Club when we present the TOP 25 players, Club Captain and Team Captain and new playing strip to all our sponsors and invited guests.

Saturday 19th March 2005 ? Kougari Oval

* Wynnum Seagulls vs Burleigh all three grades - 4pm, 5.30 pm & 7pm

Saturday 26th March 2005 ? Venue TBC

* Wynnum Seagulls vs Ipswich all three grades - 4pm, 5.30 pm & 7pm
