Kimmorley out of Eels game

Cronulla halfback Brett Kimmorley has pulled out of Saturday's crucial match with Parramatta after scans revealed his troublesome hamstring had not yet fully healed. Kimmorley has been absent from the Sharks line up since tearing the muscle during State of Origin training.

Despite reaching full pace for the first time this week, coach Stuart Raper opted against gambling with the health of the representative level halfback, allowing him an extra week to mend with the bye in round 24.

Jason Kent will again take up the halfback role in Kimmorley's absence.
