Kiwis look forward to heartbreak
hundredth at Huddersfield

The Kiwis are ready to break some hearts at Huddersfield on Sunday morning (NZ time) in what will be the 100th encounter between the New Zealand and Great Britain sides since 1907.

Huddersfield is a fitting venue for such a historic clash as Rugby League historians regard it as the birthplace of the game.

Skipper Ruben Wiki and the Kiwis take on the Lions side at Galpharm Stadium in the famous League town and they're keen to send the local fans home unhappy.

Great Britain put together a great performance last Sunday against the Kangaroos leading for most of the game before letting their archrivals sneak home in the last minute.

The Kiwis go into this test match ahead of the Lions on the Gillette Tri-Nations ladder after a draw and a loss to the Kangaroos. They know they're in for a tough battle at Galpharm Stadium though and Wiki has said the Kiwis have learned a number of valuable lessons from their last meeting with the Australians.

Both Coach Daniel Anderson and captain Wiki admitted the squad has been training very hard the past two weeks despite having the weekend off. The sessions have been full of intensity and skill and the build-up to the game is going well.

"We're ready to play Great Britain and looking to this game as a Do-or-Die match." Wiki said.

"We would like to get the 3 points clear of the Lions."

"We've got the opportunity to turn it around this weekend and we're looking forward to the challenge."

With the Kangaroos already confirmed finalists, the Kiwis and Lions know that every competition point will be critical for their chances of joining them.
